An audio director is a person who looks and manages the audio team and the audio portions of a live event. They plan, budget, and coordinate the audio resources, equipment, and workers for the event, and ensure that the audio quality and standards are met. An audio director also liaises with the other departments and stakeholders of the event, such as lighting, video, stage, security, and venue, to ensure that the audio needs and expectations are aligned and integrated.
