• Students will be able to identify and explain the roles of different professionals involved in music production, such as producers, engineers, and artists.
  • Students will gain a foundational understanding of music production, including key terminology, fundamental audio concepts, and the essential equipment and software used, with a focus on the DAW Soundtrap.
    Roles in Music Production
  • Students will learn to navigate and utilize the basic functions of a DAW, record and edit audio and MIDI tracks, and program drum patterns.
  • Students will experiment with the seven key elements of music production (melody, harmony, rhythm, dynamics, timbre, texture, form) and integrate them into music projects.
  • Students will acquire skills in finding, editing, and creatively using samples in music production.
